Changes from 0.5.0

Note that internal changes that have absolutely no influence on gameplay are not necessarily recorded here.

Bug fixes

  • #14 - No map update immediately after climbing stairs
  • #15 - Monsters may be generated on level entry point
  • #16 - Runtime duration is displayed incorrectly
  • Fixed some embarrasing typos -- one of them even on the opening screen.

Changes

  • Slowed down level flooding
  • Reduced drowning damage
  • Increased average number of monsters on level
  • Speed improvements: screen output, body part attributes

Additions

  • Items may modify speed
  • Speed is dynamically calculated
  • Special items are now represented as a basic one unless identified
  • Actions may take longer than just one turn
  • The player is asked whether an action should be continued or interrupted
  • Entities now have a satiation stat
  • Food can now be eaten
  • Added some food items
  • Added long-term effects: Speed, Water Breathing, Poison, Confusion
